Fantasy MMORTS Ballerium developers, Majorem, have announced a routine maintanance and round reset on Tuesday May 13th. Up in the air at the moment is the map percentage required to achieve victory and reset the game, with the last rounds level cut from the previous 75% ownership, to 51%. This has served to ensure stability on the server recently and the forum debate about this levels future is on HERE .

The Far Reaches of Space have added yet another popular customisation feature on top of the superb Ship Editor released earlier this year. Allowing players to add or remove new components to any ship design adds a huge new level of uniqueness to each empire, along with the ability to import new models.
This follows the recent addition of Configurable Fleet Commands and planet ownership. The game is expanding rapidly and would benefit from a larger player base to truly stretch this test. Signup is FREE and your empire can be up and running very quickly.

A new DreamLords: The Reawakening ERA has begun following a new update. Lockpick Entertainment posted the general areas of the update in the forums, with progression method changing and a fair amount of balancing. The developers are asking for a lot of feedback to speed up any balance issues being tweaked.
Trying to emphasise the persistent long term Avatar goals and encourage players to focus per Era on particular skills to increase, David rosen CEO said "You can still place workers in everything you have but you will be worse off than those who focus. For the lone player who don't want to collaborate with friends in a convergence this means you will most likely need to get things from the market to be able to have all crafted items and enough resources etc." This gives a nice opening for the microtransactions coming for items etc, followoing the current trend of payment systems.

SilverLode, the developers at SAGA , the Fantasy MMORTS with a Booster Card system, have released another mini patch with Build 139.1. With no new quests or suprises but a decent sized list of fixes, the team apologised for the recent activity by explaining they are preparing the server for a big site offer/event.
That became clear today with the Announcement on 1up.com of a huge giveaway of SAGA accounts. Beginning today, May 6th, 1up, along with FileFront and Silverlode (of course), will be giving away 50,000 copies of the FULL game. The offer lasts until May 11th or when the sites run out of copies and begins at 9am PST (5pm GMT). Obviously hoping on a return on the Booster Cards sold Online and Retail, this will provide a key element for all MMORTS - Victims a plenty!!

The team developing The Far Reaches of Space have released a new update with Fleet Control, featuring a cell-like heirachy allowing control of large numbers of units with predetermined positions in relation to control units. With fleets able to be merged into larger fleets, this brings a lot of potential fun in battles as folk discover the possibilities. The sideways flaying ship issue is fixed and the team wish folk to continue to provide valuable feedback on these issues.
In another development, the team are offering 'rewards' to players for created content, from videos, models, anything it seems. No idea yet what the rewards will translate too but its a cute way to stimulate this genres notoriously slow community response.

A new patch for SAGA has been released to complement Build 138.8, released yesterday. Consisting of little fixes, medium fixes, crash fixes, a few balance changes, and a lot of background server work, there are also a few new quests in the main patch. The list is quite extensive and can be found on the games website. The supplemental patch fixes some crash bugs and can be installed via the patcher.
The ability to redeem booster codes found in the retail packs is currently not functional it seems. The developers are working flat out to get it running again.
