I plan to set up a GUILD for Beyond Protocol come release, I am in Imperium of Man for the moment but come release I am of the opinion we need as many guilds as possible running and vets shouldnt bunch up together too much. To this end I am experiencing guild evolution within the game and should have some good ideas come release.

Ideally we would qualify for the funkeh hulls and thus need 20 members to preorder. I plan to run a well organised guild with a spokesperson and voting to decide on things and such - all can be decided by members. We need folk with motivation - work on the guild aids all and MMORTS games are VERY demanding and a good structure can make this work well.

We need experienced and new players - tasks within guild will be given and colony pruning and such will be shared more so by lower rank members. Traders and creators will be needed, farmers and routers, those who prefer fighting and those who prefer espionage as well. All members will utilise the Aliasing system, allowing new members and those with little to do to command fleets and explore and seed new systems. Much is planned and so much is possible.

As a sideline of mine - I will be trying to form a Tournament body which will research tech useful for the provision of arenas and fleets for skill based combat. In game aliasing - as yet - cant allow cross guild Tourneys without loss of units but can be kept small for example. So much is planned and the guild would have to decide to take this venture on also -on top of dominating the universe and subjec....I mean building a useful role in the senate and cooperating with our fellow guilds for the betterment of our gui...the game!!!

Sounds like you really have a plan for running an MMORTS guild along smoothly. I'm still a bit iffy on whether I'm going to be able to participate in BP at launch because of financial issues and a big move coming up soon, however, I am still quite interested in joining if you'll have me.

Edit: also would like to add that I'm pretty much a newbie, just started during OB and getting my sea.. err space legs, but I'm learning the system pretty quick atleast the non-combat parts. stuck in a peaceful system full of TC, ho-hum.
