In a news item seen on www.gamesindustry.biz , Strategy First - the software publisher, announced that it would be published by them early 2008. Urban Empires is a Gang Orientated RTS with a FPS mode, allowing you to jump into one of the hoods you control during actions.

"Urban Empires is a real-time strategy game which possess both strategic and action elements. At any point in time, you can jump down and take control of your individual gang members. The game then changes from strategy to action where you're free to do anything from stealing vehicles to mugging citizens. Enjoy the liberty of Urban Empires' open-ended gameplay."

Danny Green , President of Radioactive-Software , enthused "I'm very excited to have Radioactive-Software's first title published by Strategy First. It has been a great relationship so far, and I look forward to working with them on Urban Empires and future titles". Danny is the sole creator of the game and has made some previous 3D war titles.

With Urban Empires , another RTS/FPS title is on its way, with the beta due anytime soon and key release already sorted with Gamespy/IGN/Fileplanet. Essentially a hosted Server RTS with FPS Roles, this should be an interesting game. All sorts of criminal behaviour is allowed and affects the persistent ranks. Gangs with up to 9 players will define territory and fight other gangs on ranked servers.
