| The Second BH war was much more intense than the first and lasted much longer. It started with Leviso and Augwra being partly purged of established BH forces; however, just enough remained to prove a nuisance. The major battlefield was again Docchu. Their weapon of choice seemed to be missile fighters. They did a lot of damage in packs and were hard to shoot down. That is until I became reacquainted with an old design I had created just before the end of the war with Dominion. It was a corvette called the "Screamer". Used to counter fighters, it did a little amount of damage over a large area, and it did its job well. BH had to resort to hit and run tactics. Any time several of my Screamers went up against a full swarm of his fighters, mine prevailed, Vimes would counter with his own fighters and the battle was over. This continued for a while, until they got smart and began armoring their fighters the way that I had been doing since the start. The Screamers were still effective, but suffered more losses with each battle. We had the major wormholes covered in and out of Docchu and couldn't figure out where they kept coming from. That is, until I decided to scout one we had not been paying attention to, Equtgu, home of GGuild. |

GGuild had formed at some time during or shortly after the First BH War, and had been relatively neutral in the galaxy until this point. When I discovered that BH had been using their space, and thus their wormhole to smuggle in arms, we confronted GGuild. Initially, they seemed as upset about it as we did. However, they slowly began to show signs of being manipulated from behind the scenes. Overzealous to stop this problem at the source, Morax entered their space. Without room for conversation, GGuild attacked QSC. I lost Docchu V, and several other bases. However, QSC’s retaliation proved that while we were weakened by war, we could still hold our own. GGuild backed off and claimed to have this setting only for border control. With this, Docchu fell relatively silent. |
