O2E, publishers of Mankind - the grandaddy of MMORTS games, released thier upcoming gameplan for the re-release of Mankind 1.9. Following the previous hiccup, the new French coding team has been furiously at work bringing this latest offering to the table, fixing numerous old bugs on the way it seems. This latest release, touted as the biggest and most profound since Mankind 1.6, will lead to the creation of a new universe - the outer universe. This will sit alongside but seperate from the inner universe, the games Mankind 1.8 gameplay area. Players will be free to choose to move to the new universe whenever they choose. A list of changes/features with a time context is copied below. Please find a short list of the sheduled process for the upcoming game update below: 1) the current universe will stay as is with Mankind 1.8 running - calling it „Inner Universe“ 2) on a specific date (which will get official announced early enough) a new 2nd universe will get released - calling it „Outer Universe“
4) it will not be possible to transfer any units or money between those universes, we only copy account root data (login, password, nickname, ...) and game time 5) both universes will be playable through one single client, where you select at launcher options which universe you want to connect to 6) if 1.9 is running stable as we expect, the Inner Universe will be migrated to 1.9 7) all from above is sheduled to get prepared and finally released before the end of january 2010... anyway there is still a lot of work to do so we will keep you updated on the release plan |
