When scientists discover that an alien planetoid that has entered the
atmosphere is rich in a new energy source called Transium, the biggest
land rush in history is on! You have staked your claim to fortify, mine
for wealth, and protect from the attacks of up to 999,999 online
players. Band together and pillage the land claims of other colonists,
or build elaborate defenses and mutual protection alliances with other
players to protect your base. And watch your back, because the action
in Project Visitor goes on 24 hours a day, seven days a week, even when
you're not logged on. If you aren't careful, you might log on to find
your base damaged or destroyed.
The
game environment is nearly identical to a first-person shooter. The
"avatar" can equip gear and weapons and attack other players. What
makes this much more interesting is that each player owns territory(s)
with assets. The player base is divided into four "corporations", each
with different items (which are traded or lost to others). Anyone can
attack other players of other corporations to expand their personal
empire (made up of "camps") and build their own defenses.
Game play in Project Visitor is unique to say the least. All the action
takes place on a planet named "Visitor" which has entered our solar
system. The four corporations spread themselves across the planet with
their camps. Transportation
between camps is done by teleportation and specific location on a
planet has little strategic value (however, as in real life, there are
some cases where a location or camp number may appeal to someone).
Camps are destroyed and reclaimed by teams of players, constantly
shifting the power between corporations.
Once a player builds up his
empire, he depends on his "Mutual Defense Network" (MDN) to defend it.
An MDN generally consists of (no more than) 20 members of the same
corporation who usually play hours that complement one another. With an
active MDN, a player can sleep with the satisfaction that his assets
are protected by the others online.
A first person Scifi with asset managment and warfare. Project Visitor has been recognized as the first massively multiplayer online game with both first-person shooter and real-time strategy elements.

First Things First
What is it you want in a game? Never thought about it?
Maybe you want to command an assault against frantic defenders in
realtime, on the ground in the midst of it all in real 3D terrain with
forces you've designed and built. Or maybe you'd rather spend your
time acquiring and fortifying your own little empire and then watch as
your opponents throw themselves senselessly against your defenses while
you plot their destruction. Then again maybe you're a simulation fan
and like creating an operation which fills your pockets with money and
your warehouses with rare and valuable items. Whatever it is you want
in a game, odds are Project Visitor has it.
What types of games you like to play and how you like to
play them will be a major influence on how you play Project Visitor
simply because in it virtually anything is possible. You want to break
your enemy's forces with a reckless charge? Forge alliances so that a
massive conflict will break out if your little MDN is attacked? Build
up a mighty empire, the ruins of which will stand in vis camps long
after you're gone? Amass a fortune so vast you can buy as much of you
want whenever you want? Want to play general (ok, what's the word for
someone who does this?) and layout the perfect camp with perfectly
overlapping fields of fire that will rip up anything that enters their
range? If you can think it you can do it in Project Visitor.
Before you get into the game you might want to think a bit
about what you enjoy in a game and focus on that aspect in Project
Visitor. Nothing says you have to play any part of your MDN's politics
if you don't want to nor do you have to spend countless hours in
financial wheeling and dealings if that isn't what you enjoy. In fact
new players only need to focus on learning the game and simply
surviving...which is fun enough in itself! It's only players who have
found their footing and managed to secure a bit of safety who begin to
specialize into those potentials which help to make Project Visitor one
of the most elaborate and compelling games made to date.
We will be playing this very soon.
Alright so you want to give Project Visitor a try. First thing you
will need to know is to try the game it costs $5(USD). Now you are
wondering why it costs money to give Project Visitor a try. The reality
of the fact is, that the nature of Project Visitor does not allow for
free trials. We have had experience free trials in the past; they
destroy the in-game economy and pollute the world with un claimable
sections of the map.
So what do you get for your $5? You get a main camp, 1 million in game credits, 4 randomly generated exceptionally better then average jitter packs(40 in game items), and 7 days of full access to the game. The $5 is split into 2 parts, $1 for the ownership of the game, and 4$ for the 7 days of play.
**Optional** You can register a Paypal account, but one is not required.
